Holiday Brunch

This was taken at my family's holiday brunch. It was great to be able to see everyone and was also nice to have a chance to get dressed up for the occasion! My sister, Kelly, on the left is wearing an H&M dress and boots from Aldo. Her belt is from American Eagle. I am wearing an Ann Taylor Loft dress, belt, and cardigan. My tights are from Bloomingdales and my flats are from Nordstrom. Hope everyone had a great holiday!!! Good luck in 2011!

Things that are making me happy!

Thanksgiving!

This year we decided to do a very low key family Thanksgiving, this however didn't affect the amount of food we cooked! My main job was setting the table but was also in charge of taking photos. I included these photos plus a photo of my outfit-I wanted to keep it simple but also dressy! Here they are:

Winston Flowers!

I spent this past weekend in Boston and was walking around when I stumbled into this amazing flower shop! All of their arrangements were absolutely stunning and very creative. Here are some pictures of my favorite arrangements!

I love the simplicity of this arrangement it looks very vintage to me....which I love!

I feel like this arrangement works for both the Fall and the Spring!

I think that these flowers look like vintage roses and I love the vases!

I love how the bowls aren't perfect, I think it really adds to the arrangement!

Balloon Festival!

This past weekend was the annual balloon fest near my home! We wake up at 5 am bring our coffee and blankets and go see hundreds of hot air balloons take off. It is absolutely gorgeous, the sun is just rising and we lucked out on the weather this year! Afterwards we always stop for breakfast at my favorite place that doubles as a store! They always get decked out for fall, with decorations, spices, and homemade goods! It is a great tradition! This dress was the hardest to find, so I decided that I wanted to capture the elegance. I also especially liked the blue ribbon belt on Diana's dress and wanted to find a dress that also had a ribbon belt. This is the outfit, perfect for a formal event.

I think this dress is the best dress for a party look. I chose a strapless dress because I think it balances out the black belt nicely! For the belt I picked a simple thick black ribbon from A.C. moore.
